would it be? its a very SHORT engine. just wide. and really, whats the motor specifipart? i’m willing to bet the water pump and alternator are at least shared with the W12, so they arent THAT bad. its just if the block is cracked then you are well and truly fucked.

the All road had the issue of either w long V8 or turbo piping./

Dunno. My gambling limit on this one would’ve been $5K + an initial $1000 set up as the first (of many to come) repairs and parts. But true unicorns are never easy to take care of. And W8's manual are the rarest of Passat wagons.
